Jesus commands us to feed
the hungry, give drink to those who thirst, clothe the naked, shelter the
homeless, visit the sick, ransom the captive, bury the dead, seek justice
for all, and advocate for the right of the poor and the disenfranchised.
Mission Statement
Holy
Spirit Catholic Church Social Ministry is committed to respond to the
needs of people in the “Light of Gospel Values” by nurturing the body,
soul, and spirit of all who come in need.
We will
address and institute ways to meet the immediate needs for food and
clothing among our parishioners and the greater Mustang community.
We will also identify, address, and support pro-life issues.
We will remain open to provision of all other kinds of direct
service that come to our attention or to act as a referral body which can
assist those who require services we can not supply, e.g. counseling, etc.
In
addition to direct service we will engage in other forms of Social
Ministry such as advocacy and community building.
If you or
someone you know stands in need of help, or if you have gifts to share,
please either phone the Parish Social Action Ministry Coordinator or the
pastor at 376-9435.
Confidentiality
is paramount in this ministry and will be respected.
